haha, thot that it'll be nice to have a timeline for our sch days haha~ by the way, felt quite sentimental so i started to get these fotos together to place them on our class blog. =)

our 1st wk in HC!

that's our 1st outing! when we went to celebrate tiong's, pei lin's and shiling's bday! haha~ it was held at marina bay in case u forgot. it was organised by yi xin anyway!

Then, that year we had CNY and MAF but i couldnt get any fotos cos we were all so busy during that 2 festivals, esp MAF when all of us were helping our own CCA stalls and couldnt have the time to take some photos.

This was taken during MAF! It was quite a surprise that so many of us turned uP cos we were gonna have our GP paper 2 days later! Haha and I remembered milly and I were deciding whether we wan to go not but the HC spirit in us had helped us make our decision~

hohO~ good friday was fun! cos i get to spend time together with some 04S72-ers. we went to cityhall kbox and sang to our satisfaction~ argh! how i wish i can freeze time and freeze all the happy moments! haha, will be booking in today argh and that feeling is really SIAN... need to wait for another 6 days for freedom! well, juz hope that all these will be over sooN! =) having my block leave from the 28th may for another 5 days again cos me and lee kai will pass out on 27th may~ hahaa... and u gals will be entering uni so soon... hope that we'll still have more gatherings and YUpz, for the time being, take care!

Heys ppl... sorry for posting these photos so late and letting you guys n gals suffer the agony of having to see eric's photos everytime u visit the class blog... it mus have been hard on all of u... haha... kidding la eric... dun b sad hoR!

yeah... our class dinner was a real success with most ppl turning up... all the memories of us all as a class in HC came flooding back to me, especially those times spent at the class bench and the canteen, talking crap incessantly, trying to drag time and delay lesson times... haha... truth be told, i really wonder when will be the next time such a big group of us can gather and relive good old times?

now that everyone's gotten back results, you ppl must be busy with all the application stuff and all... and i think many of us would be flying off soon to distant lands, like yixin who's already in aussie... so i jus wanna wish that everyone is able to land that scholarship or course of study u all wanted... but even if u dun... jus wanna let u know that everything happens for a reason. lastly, dun ever hesitate to initiate gatherings whenever u miss 04S72~~~ :)

yo ppL~ i'm back! haha i shall post some fotos here! since class blog is a bit boring nowadays. ooPz =P! hahaha... new zealand is really fun, and i enjoy my stay in queenstown where i stayed for 3 days... it's juz like staying in a hotel smacked right in orchard road..

yuPz, my hotel was juz beside town and i think their town is so much nicer than our town... and one kiwi even mistook me for a kiwi as he asked me directions! hahah! think i dressed like them lei~ zai rite!

then, i went over to milford sound which is 1 of the place lotr was filmed at. yuPz, it's really beautiful with all the mountains, lake and low clouds! ok~ so eileen dun too jealous ar.. u wan fotos i can send u! haha!

this is in the antartic centre! and there was a man made snow storm ahah shioK!

i took this during my train ride~ it's quite shuang la. cos i can stay in the open air side... then wow, the wind was so strong!

really felt so happy, immersing in all e fun of taking photos on e last day, enjoyed e uniqueness of e clz n e close bonds tt we've formed over e last 2 yrs. Honestly, I've always been feeling so left out, prob coz i was so darn quiet, kinda shy :( but ur guys have created another chp in my life!

It's 4 am in the morning n i jus woke up(sorry din reply u all las nite!zzzzzzing). another day has come and what we went through before belongs to yesterday but i'm sure it belongs to us all...

I looked at all the smiling faces in the pics we took on 14 Oct posted by Eileen n i felt like i went forward in time and like an old woman looking back at her past, remembering...

I remember after the fun orientation n 3 months, school life became exceptionally boring in comparison, n many times, i was upset by the class... it was not an ideal class, the TCHS were typically "chinese high", the NYGS were so remote to me, the DHS were so cliqueish n so cheena, the SCGS n STNICK were so angmoh...we were all so different n i couldn't identify myself as part of the class, i felt i didn't belong, and with pw and the cliques being so exclusive, i found myself hating the class...

But thankfully, things changed for the better, esp this year. We went through so, so much, that i found myself loving 04S72 like never before. all of us have really changed a lot. We're now more mature n despite all the differences in our characters, we are able to laugh, joke, mug, get caught by PPC, take endless of photos... it's only a short 2 years in Hwa Chong but we managed to know each other, go through so much and now finally treasure one another like we do now. i can only say, 04S72, I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!!!

though i might b the one who can't stop talking nonsense, what i'm going to say next is definitely not. many of you have affected me in many ways, made me learn so many things...
Evelyn was the one whom i found to be in the same left out state, demoralised by the class n feeling lost... tt's when we became closer n gave each other warmth n support...i couldn't imagine how i would have suffered had i not found a friend in you...omg...this is making me tear again...
Peilin, needless to say u were the closest n most familiar face in class n we hang out so often tt there's no need to explain my thanks...
i rem KS as being so concerned after promos when the results came back n i had to drop sub... n for letting me scold u n niao u so much! sorry n thanks!
Irene qiuting legend, ur the ones whom me n eve found n its amazing how much we 5 can talk n joke despite us being 5 very different ppl... this rocks totally!
My lookalike, Eileen, is not jus my look alike... i think she's jus like a sister to me now, ur jovial character n ur sincerity really touched me many times...jus tt i din tell u...
Milly n Yixin were my confidantes during pw... really can't imagine things without you two! Milly's sweetness... yeS! i think ur sweet so u no need act cute so much!:P yixin is always bursting with madness n laughing streaks that made stressful life in HC so easy to handle

lisa as CT rep made me realise a successful woman in the making, who amongst all her strengths, was to lead the class n bond everyone together which was quite a tough job

as wise as an ancient tree, as tall as and emergent, and as kind as anyone can get, this person would have to be taige... u were the neutral one during pw tt preveted further hyperpolarization.... haha... jus to let u know... many of us girls chose u out of the 7 guys in class... feelign honoured???
oh how can i forget kane??? i never imagine i'll meet a guy like u in HC... ay...dun wu4 hui4... hu can argue like a san3 ba1 with me!!! actually v fun to quarrel with ya! =)
argh....i seem to be spamming... n i'm feeling so depressed, coping with the approaching end to my JC life with u ppl... so in all, i wanna thank everyone in this class from the bottom of my heart... THANK YOU!!!

It was fate that put the 26 of us in 04S72, but it was the 26 of us that made 04S72.
And once 04S72 is made, it can never be unmade, so wherever u are, whatever u do, pls dun forget 04S72!

hey ppl~ it's been such a wonderful night out with a wonderful bunch of ppl... sad that i was down with flu and couldnt really immerse myself in the fun... but miraculously, i became so much betta in the evening, think shang tian yao rang wo hao hao de gen ni men guo hao zhe zui hou yi ge nan wang de ye wan...haha i say until like going to ahem, but ya... i'm really glad...

it has been so long since i ever had such a feng fu dinner.. i feel so wen xin sitting beside u, taige... u're like an adult while eating and it's really interesting to eat and listen to ur stories about these cuisine... enjoy eating with u =)... i'm feeling nolstalgic again, these 2 years din really get the chance to noe u more... it's a real yihan... and yuPz... u will not come for chalet cos u'll be in china... haiz, i'm tearing now while typing this... and at the same time listening to the blog's song... i hope u will not forget me k??? i will definitely not forget u de =)... u've always been such an encouraging fren and thanx for 'tolerating' me these 2 years cos of my irritating(actually cute) actions that i do to u hee =)...

2 yrs passes by very fast eh? Can’t believe we will be leaving hc so soon... Its true a lot of things happened, from a class that was initially separated with all kinds of cliques, to 1 where most of us can get together and have a common topic to chat or gossip about :D I still remember where the guys will usually stick together, and then the girls will be with themselves. Feel that things have definitely changed for the better, definitely! Ah, sounds a bit lame to say this, but am really sry if I had done anything to offend anyone in any way, yeah, just hope that we can all keep in touch after jc although it has only been a short 2 yrs. Hehe, our blog must continue! Can always post cool stuff on it to keep in touch yar?

Anyway, life in 72 has definitely been enriching, for better or worse. Will never forget nicknames like legend, scholar, yi2 kuai4 fei2 rou4, lien boss, yuans united, xiao4 zha1 bo... the list goes on, and so will their legacy... Well, have always felt that these nicks and stuff are the little interesting things that have kept our class unique and allowed us to gel with one another better! All that friendly banter, or eric/kee sheng's wives and concubines dramas, jennifer's ultra cold jokes... have always enjoyed the funny or lame stuff our class does, really a joy being with u guys! Can’t imagine wad life would have been if I hadn’t been in this class.

Will definitely remember tonight, am sry suddenly got call... Haha, but of course after A's, we can do all kinds of stuff after that eh??? Hehe, Eric, 3 nights in chalet, everynight we play truth or dare till u tell the truth!

whoah, it's been ages since i laz post sth here... in a melancholic mood 2dae, hahz. tmr's the laz day of sch, n sitting in the lib, looking outta the glass panels at the track n the greenery made me realise i'll miss this place after all. the class bench, the canteen area we always sit at, the classroom mugging sessions, n all the times we've spent crappin n jking arnd with each other. really seems like ystd tad we juz entered hc in our sec sch u. although i wunt say we r a class with tremendous spirit or anyth close 2 that, but u guyz made me feel realli comfortable juz by being myself amongst u pple, that is in spite of vast differences in our interests and character. =p it's amazing how much we've progressed this year after pw ended. still remember how everyone was at one another's throat over stuff? These 2 years' been really tough, i've never studied so much in my life, but at the same time, i've never experienced so much ups n downs in my life either. These 2 years have realli made me grown up n im glad u guyz were part of it. Truly. Hahz, think we r always one of the noisiest class in lecture, one of the loudest n craziest in the canteens. n im proud of it; proud oof all the fun n crazy things we do no matter how tough n boring sch life can get. Think i will realli miss kane's weird questions in class, eileen's contagious laughter, ts trying 2 hide frm mrs foo the fact tad he didnt do his wrk, eric n jen's yuans united, yixin hitting herself over eric's nonsense, taige's lack of a need 4 food by photosynthesising, legend's cool replies, kevin's neverending sorries, siva getting wanyi n wangek mixed up, lim peh peh's 'what?', lisa quarrelling with kane, our obsession with photo-taking, orientation n maf song sessions, doing crazy stand up 4 spore actions on national day, pretending 2 b criminals using cross ctry tags (only we will do such things, =p) n many many more. At the end of the day, these r the memories tad we will bring with us, nt the number of As we scored in these 2 years or the number of tests we failed. =p

Our story began almost 2 years ago...
from utter strangers, we became frens to laugh with, mug with n hopefully cry with. from trying to kill each other over our differences, we accepted each other 4 who we are to feel realli comfortable with each other's walk n talk by now.

after 2 years in hc, found that our class has really given me lots of things in life.. like fun lafter anger etc etc... still remember when we wore our sec sch uniform on the 1st day of school and the orientation that we participated in~ the staying back to paint banners and stuff... rem the monkey god banner that we painted for cny??? haha wonder where is it now...

so the days were getting longer, we get out of school later and later, we sleep in the wee hours of morning, or not at all, the eyebags were getting permanent and worse and we're getting more and more crabby..

not really how i'd wanted to spend my last week as 04s72 going through lects and tutorials..

we're all mugging for a common goal, 4 As. maybe we'll get it, maybe we won't. but do keep in mind that besides the 4 As, the friendships and the class will be what we get out of this school. let's give each other support and encouragement, bring laughter and joy to each other's faces and forgive and forget where necessary.

Democratic Middle Eastern Union Votes to Invade the US

MECCA—The 14 democratic member nations of the Middle Eastern Union unanimously voted to declare war on the U.S. Monday, calling the North American country a "dangerous rogue state that must be contained."

"The United States of America has repeatedly violated international law and committed human-rights abuses at home and abroad," MEU President Mohamed Rajib said at a Monday security-council meeting. "MEU weapons inspectors have confirmed that the U.S. continues to pursue their illegal ununhexium-weapons program. Our attempts to bring about change through diplomatic means have repeatedly failed. Now, we are forced to take military action."

The MEU, formed in the wake of the 2042 Saudi Arabian revolution, is modeled on the Enlightenment ideal of the democratic republic and makes every attempt to avoid war even as it pursues an agenda of encouraging self-rule throughout the world. The decision to invade America marks the first military action of the MEU.

Rajib said that, unless the U.S. ends its "unlawful and tyrannical" occupation of northern Africa in seven days, the governments of Iraq, Iran, Jordan, and Muhammad Arabia will begin deploying aero-troops to international tropospace over America's Brand-New England region.

The U.S.'s occupation of 31 nations around the world and last month's vicious, unprompted military attack on Buenos Aires were two of the 41 examples of "unabated aggression" listed in the MEU's declaration of war.

"Today we send a strong and clear message to America," Syrian representative Rashid Qu'rama said. "Your arrogant, imperial, unilateral attitude will not prevail."

The MEU first imposed sanctions against the U.S. in February 2054, demanding that the country pull troops from Antarctica and put an end to its credit trading in the troubled Wilkes Land region.

Iraqi President Hamal Hamoodi said that MEU member nations held extensive public forums before its congress voted to declare war.

"When making such serious choices, we must remain true to the democratic ideals we wish to protect," Hamoodi said. "We have received a mandate from our people to address the U.S.'s threat to democratic society everywhere. The voice of the Arab people will ring out as a beacon of freedom and hope to the world."

Along with the declaration of war, the MEU sent a message to the American people.

"To the oppressed, silenced U.S. citizens—help is on the way," Rajib said. "Liberty is on the march. Be assured: At the end of a long tunnel shines the light of freedom."

According to Rajib, the MEU will provide extensive humanitarian and robotitarian aid to the citizens of the U.S., and has already begun moving stockpiles of breakfast, lunch, and dinner pills to the marijuana-producing regions of Mexico, Canada, and Quebec.

Mexico, Canada, and Quebec have stated they are sympathetic to the MEU's goals but must remain neutral for the protection of their own people. It is likely, however, that they will host many refugees, should the U.S. turn against its people.

Bad exams are released all the time, and some are worse than others. This is nothing new. However, it really takes a special kind of awful to be considered one of the worst tests ever made. So when this special kind of awful makes an appearance, it's truly something to behold. Block Test 2 is one of those rare pieces of work. Not only is it almost completely meshed up and blatantly unsequential in nearly every way, but even if it weren't, there's so little of an actual testing to be found here that it would still be terrible. Block test 2 is a measurement scale so astoundingly bad that it manages to transcend nearly every boundary put forth by some of Hwa Chong's absolute worst of the worst and easily makes it into that dubiously extraordinary category of being one of the most atrocious nonsense ever delivered.

Block Test 2 first and most grievous issue lies in its testing. Specifically, there isn't any. In theory, Block test 2 is supposed to be an examination based on meritocracy, where students study hard to cram things into their brains so as to dump the mental cargo when faced with questions and earn their credit at the end of the test. At least, this is what the tutors would have you believe. Let us make it very clear that these statements are all horrible, horrible lies. There is no coherent goal in Block Test 2. There is no question going to be answered. There are no questions that CAN be answered. In fact, there really isn't anything much in the Block Test.

The basic idea in the actual test is that you are given a few chapters and then you answer 140 marks worth of questions based on those chapters. You then compete against other students to fill this 140 marks within a few hours. That's it. However, Block test 2 can't even get this basic concept right. The supposedly tested chapters, never actually comes out! They are just right there, OUT of the question paper, while you stare at a load of questions that appears to have dropped down from heaven and just decided to sit there. You rub your eyes in disbelief, its there right in front of you, but it has no purpose in the testing of your studying efforts. This is to say, actually, that none of the questions have a purpose because there's no use trying. You lose every single time. So unless you especially like seeing a losing-screen over and over again that reads "You're LOSER!", there is absolutely no point in attempting to flip that obnoxious booklet.

But let's assume for a moment that the questions actually came from the chapters we study, and you could get some answers going. Even if this were the case, the block test still wouldn't be worth studying in the slightest. For some reason or another quite unapparent, the school has decided to announce the 4-day week in school, and monday just sits there, blocked, emptied, but filled with nothing but suspense. The rest of the examinations are all crammed in the afternoon, as if the sun had decided to rise from the centre, while you are given an obvious choice of either A levels or Block Test. There is no logic here, we are just advised to behave in a pretty ridiculous manner. We study so hard in the futile hope of cramming some incomplete nonsense into the brain, which might have helped if the nonsense decided to come out.

Just how bad is Block Test 2? It's as bad as your mind will allow you to comprehend. It is so disturbingly bad that even its 'after holidays' tag seems like a slap in the face. It really makes you wonder if the people that put out this dreck even took so much as a half minute to glance at the test that they were releasing. The test answer sheet does assert that the test was thoroughly tested and vetted so that scoring is possible, but the end result seems to suggest otherwise. The fact is, even if you tried, you couldn't do Block Test 2 the way it was seemingly intended to be done, and even if you could, you wouldn't want to.

I am growing more and more insane day by day, well, holidays that are free are great, maybe that appears to be why, I have made the decision to remove my crown myself. Anyway, thats not the point.

Haha ok to post something more relavant to the class, well, the block tests and A levels are coming soon, our lives will soon be measured not in the strength of character, or the extent of selflessness, not even in terms of days and weeks, but in terms of chapters and practices that we have to learn. It is a long race ahead, worth 5 months in total, we shall all run it in different ways but the path and the destination will be the same. By the theory of limiting factors, this is the limiting lap, and it is also the end of the abysmal race we have been reared to run since the day our parents' gametes merged. Though life is indeed much more than these, it has the potential to put all our efforts in jeapardy (some of us). "There is no meaning to a war without a victory", those were the words of Patrick Zala, and this victory happens to be absolutely essential for the individuality of tomorrow, and no one can afford to lose. Thus, I sincerely hope everyone will cross the final barrier to adulthood successfully so that we can then put this behind and never have to live with any regret where one mistake brought about uncertainties, and then our fates can then be decided by ourselves and not by others.

To sum it up, study hard for block tests and A levels.

May the heavens smile on the S72s, and may we get the best results possible. At the same time, we can run this race together, meaningful or meaningless, and at the end of the day, emerge unscathed.

Meanwhile, i will be off to perak, send me an sms on sunday morning and it should reach me! Say bye bye to this crazy bastard that has ever lived.

I had always wondered why caucasian men were bigger than asian men, and after thinking bout it for a while, i think i sort of got the answer. It has to do with the his-story of the two different races of men. Initially i wondered if it had anything to do with courage, like if men were bigger does it mean that there was some sort of courageous duel involved that dictated weaker men should die, but it doesnt take more than a comparison between the mongolians and japanese with like the Greeks to know that it isnt true. Then I realised that if we applied all the things we had learnt in biology, we sort of would get the answer.

Lets start from the stone age. African men are often the strongest in the world, thrashing the rest in olympics and what not, and when we look at africa, we can quickly list elephants, lions, cheetahs, jackals, vultures, leopards, crocodiles, wildebeast and it wouldnt take much to realise that unless you were physically able in some way or another, you cannot survive in such a hostile land. Next were the caucasians, they too had their panthers, sabre toothed tigers and mammoths to deal with. And then when you look at China, you find nothing but rice...and bamboo, or maybe a few pandas lurking around. Or Japan, and just find lots of rabbits, and it doesnt take much to kill one and make it into sushi. Well there were 100 species of elephants in China once, but the chinese quickly killed them off, and thanked guanyin for getting rid of all the beasts. Or like India, where even if the Bengal tiger tried, it couldnt finish eating them all, and ended up either dying of indigestion, diarrhea or getting killed for murtabak. Of course, there were anomalies like guanyu and wusong, who killed 3 tigers after drinking three bowls of wine, but he became a monk, ohwell. For comic relief, we would like to include southeast asia, but seriously, till now, we dunno if the locals won or the orang utans won. Because both, pass the basic intellectual tests. And both, rarely pass any other tests.

Then you think about the way wars were waged. Africans fought in tribes, simple as that. There was nothing much to fight for anyway, what do you want, more desert? Then the caucasians had this obsession with infantry all the way until the Roman empire was extinguished, they didnt really like horses cause the horses found there were weak. Infantry was the most mobile within a land of mountains, maybe llamas would help too, and were the most effective. Thus, it was good enough for them. Hmmm, this voucher requries prior booking before we can go there and if there is anyone who is paying, they would be given priority over us, means we get booted out. And best of all, I haven't exactly been enthu enough to go and book it! Haha so there are many possibilities of us not getting to sing. Alternatively if KTV fails, we can all go arcade, which is not a bad idea too, can have tournament in all the shooting games, racing games, the new 'who wants to be a millionare' game, para para, and last but not least 'Dance Dance Revolution'. But even then the ah lians there si bei geng, very pro, can thrash any of the girls in our class.

OR why not I suggest that since last year, we innocent Chinese High boys so nicely went out with the girls to shop with them, and I was called gay when all I did was to enter a shop, this time we bring the girls to play LAN. $1.50 per hour, its definitely worth the massacre. We can start off with the most basic: counterstrike 1.5. Basically a first person shooting game, that places you in either terrorist or counter terrorist team, den shoot each other, much easier than Unreal Tournament, UT2004GOTY series, Quake III etc. Somemore its very near, go beautyworld can play already. Anyway, good luck for bio tomorrow. Hmmm, yeah like anyone will see.

Haha, since everyone is posting so vigourously in this class page, think i better post my first entry. Oh yah, thank you yixin for those pictures, you must have spent a lot of time on them, so i better post sth. Well some people might know i recently found a rather interesting game online that is called Legend of The Green Dragon. If you search on yahoo for this game you will find up to 10 websites supporting the same version of the game, since it was an abridged version of the Legend of the Red Dragon. Well anyway i created an account in http://lotgd.net user name is leets password is 727272 so feel free to contribute to this account, whether it is 'gay' or not. A brief description of the game, kill many many make believe monsters, reach the highist level, and stop playing.

Well it was a neat idea to start taking pictures to spite Mr Tan/Chen Gou/Adidas/The yellow man(sth new), usually i cannot do that because he is my 'friend', simply due to the fact that if he isn't, he would make life difficult for NCC, regardless of rank, and fight with us over the use of facilities so its nice to see him being disturbed over whiny girls. Oh yah on a side note, i got out of the stadium through an alternative pathway before he allowed us to, and got onto an empty bus :) Mission Complete.

Anyway, nice thing that class is getting more united, hope to make full use of the few remaining times that we will have together, and graduate happily with nice memories of one another. Unlike in secondary school, where we probably chose the culture we liked, had the same visions, dreams and expectations, and were grouped on the basis of similar subject combis, achievement levels, interests and attitudes, HC is very much cultureless, and the basis for our grouping was more or less illogical, so probably we can only attribute it to fate that the bunch of us came together. We could have been so easily been in another class, or suffered the 'slotting theory' we feared last year and be alone in another class now.

Since fate lent us its gentle hand, we should write a new chapter in our lives and not let 2004/05 be a void, may we learn from our juniors. We had many scattered memories, we went many places, had a chalet, stayover, sentosa, orchard, chinatown, KAP, coro, movies, countless canteen sessions, STJ JTS, STJ JTS again and seriously did lots of things together (really), we just need to remember them and put them together, lets hope that once our CCA commitments end and when we come back home to class again, we can rewrite our memories and make them into one that we will remember above all other memories.

It is when bonding occurs despite differences that one feels he isn't alone in this world, the more differences the better, so let differences not be a source of unhappiness, but be a source of pride for us, the flower that blooms in adversity is the most precious one, hmmm, sounds familiar, think it comes from mulan, haha nvm. Yeah thats all.

2004 was a really bad year for me and some others i suppose... full of downs and more downs...i didn't really enjoy being in the class, honestly speaking. I felt really tired being in 04s72. I guess bad things don't really need much elaboration. But ~VOiLA~ come 2005 and i do agree with Eric that our class is in the uphill portion of a cup or bowl parabola(whatever)! Somehow we are gelling together and i hardly felt "sick" this year! haha... and i"m really LOVING our class now~~~i swear.

hoho... ya, think we have really experienced many many things with each other during this 2 years ya? dun noe y, but my nose's feeling a little sour hahah~ ah yo~ sentimental wor. i still remember when i juz came into this class. ok i shall do a timeline hehehe =P

1st 3 months- filled with fun and lafter

then slowly- our class seems to drift apart with many diff 'stuff' going on... which is kinda sad thing i guess

and now- we are getting closer again~ i think... i dun noe y, but this's my gut feeling la. think it's cos of the many diff outings and corny things that we have done? more outings with greater attendance...=) and corny stuff liek cross country-->trying to be the bottom few! and erm... etc la...
